Heart and Lung Qi Deficiency

A deficiency of Heart-Qi can create a Lung deficiency and vice versa. There will be a deficiency of Qi in the Upper Burner. See: Heart Syndromes, Lung Syndromes.

Symptoms:

  • Palpitations
  • Shortness of breath
  • Cough
  • Asthma (aggravated by physical exertion)
  • Weak voice, reluctance to speak
  • Spontaneous sweating
  • Propensity to catch a cold
  • Aversion to cold
  • Depressed, apathetic mood
  • Oedema of the face and four limbs
  • Pale tongue with thin, whitish coating
  • Deep and weak pulse
