Heart Qi Deficiency

Can be accompanied with Heart-Yin deficiency or with Lung-Qi deficiency

Symptoms

  • Palpitations and tachycardia
  • Chest oppression
  • Shortness of breath and fatigue, worse with exertion
  • Slight depression and apathy (does not nourish shen)
  • Mental slowness
  • Spontaneous sweating
  • Pale face
  • Pale tongue with soft coating
  • Fine, weak pulse (empty)

Causes

  1. Aging
  2. Excessive sweating (from febrile disease, for example)
  3. Constitution
  4. Sadness
  5. Heart-Blood deficiency
