It is the most external crest of the auricle. With a shape similar to the question mark "?". It can be subdivided into 15 small parts grouped into 3 zones: the root of the helix, the superior helix and the tail of the helix. It has a bulge on the upper external part called Darwin's tubercle (see: Anatomical points of the auricle).
Root of the helix
The medial part, which rises from the center of the auricle toward the face and above. It can be divided into parts. The points it contains are:
- HX 1: Zero Point.
- HX 2: Diaphragm.
- HX 3: Rectum; urethra.
- HX 4: Helix Insertion. External genitals.
- HX 6: Omega 2
Superior helix
The upper part in the shape of an arch.
- HX 7: Apex of the ear. Allergy.
- HX 9: Tonsil 1
- HX 10: Upper point of Darwin's tubercle. Liver-Yang 1.
Tail of the helix
The lateral part, which descends toward the lobe. Treats peripheral neuropathies and neuralgias. Fever and tonsillitis.
