The luo point of Kidney is KI-4.

  • Transverse Luo: goes to BL-64, Yuan point of the Bladder.
  • Longitudinal Luo: follows the pathway of the main channel to CV-17, where it interiorizes and reaches the spine, some say at the level of T5 (GV-11 - BL-15). Other books say it reaches the lumbar region.

Symptoms

  • Fullness: inability to urinate or defecate (anuria and constipation). Urinary retention. Needling KI-4 in dispersion. Adding KI-1 or BL-67 is more potent.
  • Empty: lower back pain.
  • Qi Ni (rebellious Qi) can have chest and epigastric oppression, nervousness (cannot breathe), anxiety, fear.
