The most common cause is a Spleen-Yang deficiency (due to inadequate diet, excessive worry...) that in the long term affects Kidney-Yang.
It can also originate from Kidney-Yang deficiency (weak constitution) that affects Earth. The transported fluids are affected.
Symptoms:
- Interior Cold, aversion to cold, chilling of the four limbs
- Pale face,
- Mental fatigue
- Emaciation
- Pain and cold in the abdomen
- Diarrhea with undigested food (Spleen)
- Diarrhea at dawn or all day (Kidney-Yang deficiency)
- Pain with sensation of cold in the lower back and knees
- Frequent or difficult urination
- Face and limbs swollen (or ascites)
- Impotence, sterility, clear leukorrhea
- Pale, swollen tongue with tooth marks
- Deep, slow, fine, weak pulse, ,
