Ye is the Yin part of Jin Ye, the Body Fluids


  • They are the turbid, heavy, and dense part of the organic fluids.
  • They are not very mobile, they circulate inside the body with the Rong Qi.
  • They are controlled by the Kidneys and Spleen by transforming them.
  • They are also controlled by the Middle and Lower Burner which move and excrete them.
  • They moisten the joints, spine, brain and bone marrow.
  • They can be: synovial fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, vitreous humor, gastric or intestinal fluids.
  • Lubricate the orifices of the senses.
