Clinical history

Since 5 years ago, the patient suffers from acid regurgitation and nausea. It worsens in winter. 3 months ago he caught cold and has epigastric pain that is relieved with palpation. The tongue has a thick, greasy white coating.

The pulse is slippery and tense.

Diagnosis

  • Acid regurgitation and nausea -> stomach, and is related to cold.
  • Yang deficiency -> chronicity, is relieved with palpation and after ingesting small amounts of food.
  • Dampness -> thick white coating, chest oppression, pasty mouth. Slippery pulse.

Empty-Cold of stomach with dampness accumulation and Spleen-Qi deficiency.

There are no indications of causes connected to the Liver, if the Liver is treated (e.g.: LR-3) in this case the stomach energy will sink even more.
