Symptoms
- Sensation of distension-fullness in the hypochondrium, abdomen or epigastric region
- Bitter taste in mouth
- Poor appetite
- Nausea
- Sensation of heaviness of the body
- Yellow leukorrhea
- Vaginal itching
- Eczema or skin lesion of the vulva
- Loss of blood or pain in the middle of the menstrual cycle
- Pain, redness and swelling of the scrotum
- Genital skin eruption (papules or vesicles) with itching
- Difficult urination
- Burning sensation when urinating
- Dark urine
- Red tongue with yellow and sticky coating
- Slippery, tight, and rapid pulse
Causes
- Attack of external damp-heat
- Damp-heat due to diet: alcohol consumption, excess sweets, fatty foods
- Spleen/Stomach Qi deficiency that generates dampness.
