Symptoms of damp-heat and itching in the urogenital system (cystitis, fungal infections, candida).

Symptoms

  • Sensation of distension-fullness in the hypochondrium, abdomen or epigastric region
  • Bitter taste in mouth
  • Poor appetite
  • Nausea
  • Sensation of heaviness of the body
  • Yellow leukorrhea
  • Vaginal itching
  • Eczema or skin lesion of the vulva
  • Loss of blood or pain in the middle of the menstrual cycle
  • Pain, redness and swelling of the scrotum
  • Genital skin eruption (papules or vesicles) with itching
  • Difficult urination
  • Burning sensation when urinating
  • Dark urine
  • Red tongue with yellow and sticky coating
  • Slippery, tight, and rapid pulse

Causes

  1. Attack of external damp-heat
  2. Damp-heat due to diet: alcohol consumption, excess sweets, fatty foods
  3. Spleen/Stomach Qi deficiency that generates dampness.
