Gallbladder Sinew Channel

Gallbladder Sinew Channel

TendinoVB

Pathway

It starts at the 4th toe and ascends through the intermetatarsal space between the 4th and 5th toes. It inserts at the external ankle. It ascends along the fibula region and inserts at GB-34 and on the lateral side of the knee. A branch emerges from the knee that joins ST-32. It then ascends along the lateral side of the thigh and inserts at the greater trochanter. From here it projects a branch that goes to the entire border of the sacrum (encompassing the greater, middle and lesser gluteus and the external rotators). From the greater trochanter it ascends toward the lateral face of the lower ribs where it bifurcates:

  • One branch goes more anteriorly, ascends along the lateral thorax region, and inserts in the supraclavicular fossa. ST-12.
  • The other branch continues in the midline of the axilla and ends, in front of the shoulder, in the supraclavicular fossa, joining the previous branch at point ST-12.

From the supraclavicular fossa it ascends along the lateral side of the neck, curves around behind the ear. Above the ear it emits a branch that goes to GV-20. It continues in front of the ear and goes through the zygomatic arch to SI-18 where it joins with all the muscle channels of the foot. Here it bifurcates:

  • One branch goes to the root of the nose.
  • Another branch goes to the outer corner of the eye.
