Jing Bie

Divergentes

With Jing Bie we refer to the divergent channels or distinct ones. They are vessels that emerge from each main channel. The characteristics of the divergent channels are as follows:

  • Li: separate. It separates from the main channel at one of the limbs.
  • Ru: penetrate. After separating, it penetrates inside to go to make the Biao-Li relationship with the zang-fu organs and enters. They all have a branch that reaches the heart ("the heart is the emperor of the 12 zang-fu organs"). When the heart is ill, the zang-fu organs tremble.
  • Chu: exit. After passing through the heart, they all emerge to the exterior around the neck.
  • He: unite. The Yin and Yang of the 12 channels unite with the divergent of the coupled channel. For example: the Stomach divergent exits and unites with the Spleen divergent at ST-9.

There are two centers where the Jing Bie channels meet: the chest and the head. The Yin channels carry their energy to the head thanks to the union with the divergents of the Yang channels.

The divergents, unlike the Luo vessels, do not have their own symptoms. They can be affected in case of affluence.
