Qi Deficiency is also known as: Qi deficiency.

  • Spleen-Qi, Kidney-Qi and Lung-Qi are the most prone to Qi deficiency.

Causes

  1. Overwork
  2. Trauma, accident
  3. Prolonged illness, inactivity, bedridden patient
  4. Ageing
  5. Genetic inheritance
  6. Malnutrition (quantity/quality of food)
  7. Stress

Symptoms

  • Low body temperature
  • Insufficient transformation: digestive disorders and intestinal transit changes (diarrhoea/constipation)
  • Loss of vitality: weakness, physical and mental fatigue, apathy, lack of motivation.
  • Loss of appetite
  • Impairment of function of specific organs/entrails
  • Pallor (face and tongue)
  • Weak pulse
  • Sweating at minimal effort
  • Shallow and irregular breathing
  • Tendency to catch colds
  • Menstrual disturbances: amenorrhoea, delayed or scanty
  • Urinary incontinence
