Comments
- In ancient China the Universal Qi was known as Celestial Qi, making reference to the emperors of past, who were considered "gods". Tian Fu, in this sense is related to the capacity to communicate with celestial or universal Qi since the lungs are the most external Yin organ and therefore "open to the exterior" to take Qi from the environment.
- The Ling Shu, in its chapter 2 paragraph 8, mentions Tian Fu as the place where the Triple Burner communicates with Celestial Qi. If the Qi of the Triple Burner stagnates, pure Qi cannot rise to the brain and there will be disorders both physical as psycho-emotional.
