In a depression between the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon, close to the tendon.
Functions
Tonifies the Kidney, reserves Qi and nourishes Kidney-Essence:
- It is the most tonifying point on the entire body for Qi to go to KI-1 (source). Nourishes Kidney-Essence and nourishes Kidney-Yin: premature ageing, falling out of hair and teeth, grey hair, strengthens the lumbar region and knees
- When the Kidney lacks the strength to eliminate toxicity
- Dryness of the throat
- All types of urogenital and endocrine disorders: renal colic, uric acid, dark urine, impotence, menstrual irregularities
- Sleepiness, poor sleep, low spirits
