The Liver is the Wood element and its climate is Wind. It is the function of the Liver to distribute Qi and Blood harmoniously throughout the body. Certain circumstances alter this Liver function and generate internal Wind, sudden changes in the movement of Qi and Blood, which can manifest in the body as agitations, convulsions, tics, dizziness, loss of sensation, paralysis.

Internal Wind has different causes and manifestations:
