Sinking of Spleen Qi

Also called sinking of central Qi. The Spleen, by Qi deficiency, fails in its function of ascending and supporting structures.

Symptoms

  • Poor concentration and memory
  • Physical and mental fatigue
  • Loss of appetite
  • Pale yellowish face
  • Abdominal distension, especially postprandial, with sensation of abdominal heaviness
  • Fatigue, lassitude, weakness of four limbs
  • Loose stools
  • Depression
  • Prolapse of the stomach, uterus, anus and bladder
  • Frequent and urgent urination (Qi does not ascend, pure Yang descends: turbid urine)
  • Chronic diarrhea
  • Chronic uterine bleeding
  • Varicose veins
  • Pale tongue, with coating
  • Weak pulse

Spleen-Qi deficiency

Treatment

Tonify the Spleen and ascend central Qi.
