Symptoms

  • Palpitations
  • Mental restlessness
  • Uncontrolled laughing and crying
  • Mental confusion
  • Incoherent speech
  • Insomnia
  • Red face, red eyes
  • Heat
  • Vertigo
  • Throat rattle, throat clearing
  • Expectoration of phlegm
  • Bitter taste
  • Thirst
  • Dark urine
  • In severe cases: manic crises, aggressiveness
  • Red tongue with redder and swollen tip, with yellow, thick and seborrheic coating
  • Slippery and rapid pulse

Treatment

Clear heat and phlegm, calm the Shen.
