- Palpitations
- Mental restlessness
- Uncontrolled laughing and crying
- Mental confusion
- Incoherent speech
- Insomnia
- Red face, red eyes
- Heat
- Vertigo
- Throat rattle, throat clearing
- Expectoration of phlegm
- Bitter taste
- Thirst
- Dark urine
- In severe cases: manic crises, aggressiveness
- Red tongue with redder and swollen tip, with yellow, thick and seborrheic coating
- Slippery and rapid pulse
Treatment
Clear heat and phlegm, calm the Shen.
