It can be affected by overload, osteoarthritis, bursitis or rupture. Many times it becomes inflamed where it inserts into the calcaneus. It causes pain and limping.

  2. Wear and tear

Points

Local: on Bladder Channel and Kidney Channel.

Treatment

  • Cross-transfixion on each side of the tendon in parallel.
  • Electro-stimulation can be used.
  • Also heated needle with perpendicular needles at the ashi points (puncturing the tendon).
