Location
In the hollow below the front of the acromion bone. When abducting the arm, two hollows appear in the shoulder. The one in the front part is LI-15 and the one in the back part is TE-14
Nature
- Meeting point with Yang Stepping Vessel (balances left and right sides)
Actions
- Bi Syndrome: Shoulder pain, tendinitis, capsulitis, shoulder loses strength and hand cannot reach head, problem rotating neck
- Wei Syndrome: paralysis, loss of strength
- Urticaria spreading like a current of wind (is an important point for urticaria of the whole body)
- Lower heat Yang Ming with LI-4 and LI-11
- Lowers all types of thyroid inflammation (hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism) as it helps unblock the channel.
- Meeting with Yang Stepping Vessel (opening BL-62): balances left and right sides
Treatment
- Needling: 0.5-1 CUN perpendicular, do not puncture in the fossa, no Qi.
- Usually moxibustioned in chronic tendinitis, frozen shoulder, especially from age 50 onwards.
